YCC Tour…

compared to most harvesting plants because it has a series of climate changing sections that the carcasses travel through on the way to the cooler. The carcasses roll through a warm non-humid section then into a cooler humid area then into a cool non humid section before entering the coolers. This process nearly eliminates all the steam rising from these carcasses and eradicates any potential condensation on the walls or ceilings above. Just

Sumter County Farmers Market, Webster We all loaded back up in the

van to travel a few miles down the road to the Sumter County Farmers Market in Webster. By the time we arrived you’d thought we hadn’t been fed in days since we were all breathe and britches but

what a dinner we had there at the Speckled Butterbean. A country style buffet was just the ticket to help us go and watch cattle sell inside the market. After a fun filled, 1,117 miles of driving we finally made it back to the FCA headquarters. The trip was not only a huge success but a huge opportunity for the participants to go out and use what we learned on the tour to not only help ourselves, but our neighbors. From the water management tools to the media training everything was taken to heart. Our biggest thanks goes out to everyone behind the tour including Mr. Johns and the Seminole Indian tribe for lending us one of there vans to travel around the state in, without them we’d been jammed into Mr. Handley’s truck and if you can imagine, there’s barely room to breathe in there. A special thanks also goes out to the people who nominated these rough necks in the first place. Many of laughs where shared amongst this group

and friendships too. Were all truly blessed to be a part of an industry where no matter where you go, everyone is willing to shake your hand and take ya in as one of their own. So on behalf of the entire YCC Tour(Adam Norman, Tommy Schuller, Josh Churchwell, Kyle Robinson, Joel Beverly, John Flowers and Bo Copeland) we thank you cattleman.
