Michelle Wright celebrates turning 50, enshrinement in Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, release of new CD

Canadian country-music veteran Michelle Wright was born in Merlin, Ont. in 1961 and had her fi rst breakthrough album, Do Right by Me, in 1988, yielding seven hits. She’s been going strong and performing in front of big audiences ever since. FYI recently spoke with Wright about being inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, a new CD due out this fall, marrying later in life – and turning 50.
