Grant means new goals for club E

vergreen FC will get new goals thanks to a contribution from a county councillor from

his locality budget. Councillor Paul Goggins (Abbots Langley) has

given the club‘s youth section £300 towards the cost of new portable goals and nets. According to Three Rivers District Council so

many boys and girls from the local area wanted to play football that the club needed to increase the number of teams it ran in the under-7, under -8 and under-9 age groups. This meant it needed new goals, of the correct

size, so the younger teams could play organised football at their base in South Way, Abbots Langley. Cllr Goggins said: ―I am happy to support this

football club which works closely with the local community of Abbots Langley. Anything which helps youngsters keep active and healthy is a worthy cause, and this club caters well for children at all levels.‖ For information on how to apply for funding
