8 - October 21, 2011 | Salem Community Patriot Painting Pumpkins at Kelley Memorial Library
by Robyn Hatch The Kelley Library recently got together for a Pumpkin Painting session for children age 6-12 and parents to celebrate autumn and Halloween. Although 20 people signed up, 10 were actually on site. The Salem library sponsored this event and the librarians were present to help each child. Not only were paints available to play with, there were many spiders, cobwebs, and straw to make the creations unique. The kids spent much time painting and gluing, and giggling.

The librarians bought all the items that were used, and after an hour or so, the kids were free to take the pumpkin back home to display. The finished products were all unique and very creative.
