VEGETABLES, BERRIES& FRUIT BARE-ROOT BULK
BERRIES & FRUIT: BULK PACKAGES: All Available 1/25-5/31 Plants are loosely packed in plastic, paper or burlap bags. Unpack and plant or place in cooler upon arrival. Pot tags are included with all bulk fruit and berry plants. Freight recommended: UPS ground.
Dormant and newly budded roots can be potted and forced for spring sales or planted directly into the ground.
FOR SPRING SALES: Plant into 6” pots or gallon nursery containers.
Spread the roots and fill in with clean, well drained media.
Fill to the top of the root ball but do not bury the green stems. For non-woody plants like Strawberries, fill so the growth tip is still visible at the soil line.
Water in the newly potted plants. Keep temperature around 55 to 70 F.
Line out containers in bright light and label each pot (labels included).
Sell as soon as new growth is detected. Usually in 2 to 3 weeks.

Tubors and bulbs, like potato and onion, are dry packed in paper or net bags. Upon receipt, unbox, leave them in the bag and store in a dry area.
Dormant roots, like Asparagus and Rhubarb, will arrive loosely packed in plastic or paper bags. They may be stored for a short time in a cool dry place.
Plant labels are included. Freight recommended: UPS ground.
Dormant and newly budded roots of Asparagus, Horseradish and Rhubarb can be potted and forced for spring sales or planted directly into the ground.
Bulbs and tubors of Garlic, Onions, Shallots and Potatoes should be sold dry at retail or planted directly into the ground.
FORCING FOR SPRING SALES: Plant Asparagus, Horseradish or Rhubarb into deep gallon nursery containers.
