STUMPED for an all- weather day out for all the family?

Look no further than China Blue with its paint-your-own ceram- ic studio. It has been designed to accommo- date all would-be cre- atives, whatever their age.

Feeling adventurous? Why not try your hand at throwing your very

own pot at the wheel? The studio is the largest of its kind in the South West. Full of inspira- tion to help create per- sonalised gifts, you can design something origi- nal from the collection of seasonal themed ceramics. Or why not pop in and create a unique souvenir of your visit to Devon? If you’re exhausted

after using up your artistic energy, sit back and relax in the cafe, which offers plenty of tasty bites to tempt you. Or indulge in some retail therapy in our large home interiors store.

Open seven days a week. To find out more, call us on (01803) 860908, www.china- blue.co.uk

Enjoy the animal antics

TREAT your family to the very best with a full day of hands-on animal action at Pennywell Farm.

Home of the half- hourly activity and with up to 20 hands-on activ- ities, shows and dis- plays every day, all included in the admis- sion price, you won’t waste a single minute. There’s something new every half hour – listen for the bell.

There are hungry lambs and goat kids to bottle feed, ferrets to race, puppet shows, sing-alongs, hedgehogs to meet, ponds to explore, fantastic enter- tainers every day dur- ing the Devon school holidays and a whole host of hands-on animal activities.

All the Pennywell animals love to be cud- dled – come and find your favourite. Shire horses Boxer and Fusilier, the gentle giants of the farmyard, are waiting to meet you as are Dancer and Prancer the reindeer, all the way from the North Pole. Cuddle the pets,

talk to the alpacas and make friends with more than 150 friendly ani- mals in their farmyard home. Pennywell Farm is also the home of the world famous Penny- well miniature pigs. There are plenty of rides for all the family. The Red Rocket ride launches from the farm- yard daily and it’s more fun than you would ever think possible using tractor power. There is also the Rainbow Railway, Tractor and Trailer ride and for children over eight and adults there are the Run Rabbit Ride go-karts.

Enjoy Noah’s Barn

with friendly animal encounters and lots of undercover fun. You can wander into the pens and experience the animals close up – they are always happy to meet you.

Pennywell is just off the A38 near Buck- fastleigh, just 20 miles from Plymouth and Exeter and only 12 miles from Torbay. Open daily 10am – 5pm, seven days a week.

The Pennywell team will give you a full day of action packed fun – guaranteed. For further information call 01364 642023 or visit www. pennywellfarm.co.uk
