This course is designed to provide a firm foundation for a career in the general field of finance and is particularly appropriate for those who wish to work as financial intermediaries working with organisations such as banks, stockbrokers, investment houses, pension providers and insurance companies. However, you may also move into functional and general management roles, and the programme will equip you for this by providing you with sound evaluation and analytical skills.

The course


Our diverse range of economists, statisticians, accountants and financial specialists, many of whom have significant practical experience in industry and commerce, ensure that this innovative course equips you for a career within finance.


In the first year you will be provided with the basic knowledge of general business and finance agendas, as well as economics and IT. You will also study modules that will introduce you to law within a business context and you will learn how to analyse business decisions. All modules are compulsory in year one.

In the second year you will build on knowledge acquired in the first year. You will learn more about financial markets and will look at ways to manage and analyse financial statements.
