Breathtaking gardens

The gardens at Burghley have changed a great deal since Lord Burghley built the House. The 9th Earl commissioned Capability Brown to landscape the Park in the 18th century and the resultant rolling green hills and serpentine lake provide a beautiful setting for Brown’s Summerhouse. Situated in the private gardens, it provides an atmospheric setting for civil ceremonies and drinks receptions.
