 LARKSPUR ROOM "Dreams are a reservoir of knowledge and experience," writes Tarthang Tulku, "yet they are often over-


looked as a vehicle for exploring reality." Indeed, lucid dreaming (dreaming while knowing that you are dreaming) could be considered a magic carpet among such vehicles, and for more than a thousand years, the Tibetan Buddhists have used lucid dreams as a means of experiencing the illusory nature of personal identity and awakening to reality. Relatively recent scientifi c research has provided objective evidence for the reality of lucid dreams, and made the state much more accessible. T is workshop will provide a brief overview of the science and practice of lucid dreaming. Topics touched upon will include the following. Learning how to dream more lucidly: Inducing, stabilizing, and guiding lucid dreams. Dream control: freedom, fl exibility, and choice. Lucid dream work: from nightmares to wholeness. Dreaming, Illusion and Virtual Reality; Consciousness as a model of self and world. Dream yoga, Death and Transcendence; identity: personal and transpersonal. Life as a dream quest: Awakening in your Dreams and in your Life.

Sufi s whirl like everything else in this vast creation from atoms to the planets to the galaxies. In Sufi whirling the body represents the earth and the heart represents the sun, which is the epicenter of our being, the cental sun, lovesun, the heart. Sufi s practice whirling as a meditation in motion. Sufi discovers the timeless stillness within the movement in time. While whirling the sufi spontaneously comes to discover that while everything whirls, the central core of the whirling-Sufi remains still, beyond time, beyond any identity, beyond form, as the eternal witness of all things whirling and whirling. Over there the Sufi sees everything moving, but here in the central eye of it all, Sufi fi nds clear stillness—I AM Presence of Essence, T e Witness, T e Timeless-Awareness, the all-Transcendent Heart of it all. As the Sufi keeps whirling, even witnessing melts away, only whirling remains even without the one who is whirling. Pure Whirling and Ecstatic Bliss. Whirling Bliss. Come beloved friends let us learn the simple moves of the Whirling and aligning our earthbody with the


heartsun, let us joyously whirl away all the seeming veils, and joyously discover the Light of Unity in the Heart of it all, as Scientists, as Mystics, as Children, as THAT…
