NEW DIRECTOR AT BNP PARIBAS William Davies has recently joined BNP Paribas Real Estate as Senior Director. A Chartered Surveyor with over 30 years’ experience, he’ll be responsible for developing consultancy and corporate services. With considerable knowledge of the industry, including 20 years’ running property development and investment businesses, as well as holding non-executive positions in two of the largest social housing providers in England, William forms an integral part of the company.


ARGYLL APPOINTS NEW OPERATIONS DIRECTOR Argyll Investment Services Limited has promoted Senior Manager Hazel Kelling to the role of Operations Director. Hazel has been a member of Argyll’s senior management team for six years and is involved with a number of major projects. She is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Securities and Investments Institute, and a Fellow of the International Compliance Association, and has spent most of her career in the finance industry.


LAW AT WORK BOOSTS ITS BOARD Business support company Law At Work has appointed Ed Daubeney to its Board of Directors. Ed has more than 20 years’ experience in human resources, which started with the Ford Motor Company and Le Riche Group. He is currently a Regional Investment Director for Envestors Limited and was previously Managing Director of CI Hospitality, where he led the business through major change prior to its ultimate acquisition by the Liberation Group in 2008.


KPMG APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR Linda Johnson has been appointed as a Director of KPMG Channel Islands Limited, specialising in advisory services. Linda, based in KPMG’s Guernsey office, is responsible for restructuring in the Channel Islands, and her new position strengthens the advisory senior management team to three directors and 13 full-time professionals. Linda has been with the firm for eight years.


CHANGES AT SANTANDER Santander Private Banking has made a number of key appointments. Jonathan Williams (pictured) has been made Head of Intermediaries and will lead and develop the intermediary business. Joining the bank are Simon Hayward and Doug MacKenzie. Simon, Head of Treasury, will oversee operations of the foreign exchange and fixed deposit services. Doug, Head of Private Banking Operations, will be responsible for key back office functions.


NEW MANAGING PARTNER AT OGIER Ogier Jersey has appointed Matthew Swan as Managing Partner of Ogier Jersey Legal. He will carry out this role while continuing with client work, and replaces Matthew Thompson whose term of office has come to an end after four years. Matthew is Head of the Jersey firm’s Business and Trust Law Group and the Jersey Banking Team. He is a leading individual for Corporate and Finance in Chambers Global 2010.
