Buford, Georgia on a hot summer day (Aug 7th) in Hotlanta (Atlanta). The first thing that the kids did was design a hat for the picnic. The adults grilled corn, vegetable skewers, and chicken, while the kids socialized and played cricket, shuttle, Frisbee and football. After our barbecue session, Peri Nagappan welcomed everyone, followed by the introduction of visitors from India,

Mrs.
Valliammai Achi (Meena Somu‘s mother) and Mrs. Vallikkannu Achi (Sindhu Ayyappan‘s mother) & a new family in town Nachu & Rajesh Alagappan. All of the Achi‘s cooked up a mean batch of many different varieties of food. When everyone finished eating, we played a game called minute challenges, where you have to do a certain task within a minute, using household items. Some of them were specialized just for kids and some for adults. Later, most people went on a five mile hike along the lake. Meanwhile, few of the little kids went in the

up more fun than ever. The only minus point was that, school started the next day for some counties in Georgia. And that‘s the story of 2011 picnic in Buford, Georgia.
