Welcome to the 2011 edition of the Directory of Care Providers for Leicestershire, Leicester City and Rutland.


This has been produced by the Leicestershire based care homes association, East Midlands CARE Ltd, in partnership with Leicestershire County Council, Leicester City Council, Rutland County Council, the Leicestershire Domiciliary Care Providers Association, Leicester Forum of Voluntary Providers and the Leicester Mercury Media Group Ltd. Information relating to individual care services has been taken from the CQC (Care Quality Commission) website, and information pages have been compiled by Age UK.


Now in it’s 13th year of publication, this Directory has become an indispensable source of information to anyone who is, or may be in need of support, irrespective of their age, or care needs. Whatever your circumstances, we believe that this comprehensive listing will help you find the care provider to suit you. The following pages are intended to give guidance on the issues that we know are important to you and


there is a list of agencies that offer further advice if you need it.


There have been further changes in the way that care homes are registered. In order to provide you with information in a format that is easy to understand, we have continued to use the old registration “categories”. More details relating to some care providers can be found in the advertisements towards the back of the publication. Further information on the service that each provider offers can be obtained either direct from the individual care service or from the CQC website – w w w. c q c . o rg . u k
