Margaret received her B.A. from Randolph- Macon Woman's College in 1947 and a master of education from Lynchburg College in 1978. She taught elementary school in Norfolk, Richmond, and Lynchburg. As an outstanding teacher, she was selected for the LAS/LCE. P.D.A. program in 1969 and was inducted into Alpha Delta Kappa and Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Societies of Education. She was active in the congregation of The Church of the Covenant, was a member of the Lynchburg Junior Woman's Club, serving as its secretary, and in the Lynchburg Woman’s Club. She was a supporter of a host of local charities and community service organizations. She played the piano and organ, sharing her passion for music by providing private lessons once she became the mother of six children.

Howard Ramagli, associate vice president for Information Technology and Resources at LC for the last ten years, died June 14, 2011. He was 61. While a computer whiz by day, Howard’s true love was theater, and he performed in many local plays, most recently at

the Renaissance Theatre in downtown Lynchburg. Howard came to LC after working as manager of higher education consulting with KPMG, one of the largest professional services firms in the world. He also had experience in planning, management, and implemen- tation of information technology at medical centers at St. Louis University School of Medicine and the
