BAY AREA BUILDERS ASSOCIATION NEWS

BABA Fall Wrap Up A

special thanks to Friendswood Mayor David Smith, guest speaker at BABA’s

September luncheon. He presented his fair city with pride and with great vision. His nine years of service and fine leadership have directed that city’s government and family friendly living to the top five places to live in America. With many exemplary schools and one of the safest communities to live in, Friendswood is a popular place to live and very attractive area to build in. Friendswood still has area to develop— both commercial and residential—and older areas are always in need of remodel for revitalization.

BABA’s biggest networking event of the year, the “Fall Fling Gala,” was held September 22 at Gulf Greyhound Park. Live racing and an impressive spread of great food provided the perfect backdrop for the evening, as we enjoyed a great turnout of builders and new members. GHBA President Mike Dishberger highlighted the evening with a few special words to the crowd. The great door prizes were a big hit. Special thanks to our sponsoring associates; this was an opportunity for them to shine the light on their new products. See photo highlights from the event on the next page.

This is the type of information that will give our builders the facts to be the best in our industry.

BA-BOO!

October 13 will be here very soon, and we are all excited about the Ba-Boo! BABA Golf Tournament at Timber Creek Golf Club.

This year’s theme is Halloween, and we will award prizes for the best costume, best decorated hole, etc. Thanks to our golf committee, headed by Craig Roll, committee chairman, for all your hard work in putting this tournament together. At this time we still have room for teams to sign up and be a part of the game, and a few holes are left for sponsorship. Contact Liz Newman at lnewman@ghba.org for more information.
