HOMEAID SCORES BIG WITH PROJECT PLAYHOUSE AUCTION

HomeAid Houston’s Project Playhouse scored big at the 22nd Annual Astros Wives Gala held recently at Minute Maid Park. The playhouse, built by Trendmaker Homes, was auctioned off at the Gala’s “Black Ties and Baseball Caps” event for $11,500.

Funds will go to the Houston

Area Women’s Center for a HomeAid Care project.

Gregory N. Miller, president and CEO of Pipeline Inspection Company Ltd. along

with his mother, Beverly Wren, had the winning bid. Mr. Miller and Ms. Wren will be installing the playhouse for their grandchildren/great-grandchildren.

Trendmaker Homes partnered with

HomeAid to construct the Wives Gala playhouse as well as the second identical playhouse that was up for raffle at Minute Maid Park through August 21.

The Houston Astros Wives Gala “Black

Ties and Baseball Caps” benefits the Houston Area Women's Center. Since the first gala in the early 1990s, Astros Wives have raised more than $3 million for the center, which provides a safe environment for victims of domestic and sexual violence in Houston.

Special thanks to the playhouse Hall of Fame sponsors, Fairfield by Friendswood Development, Pella Windows & Doors and Westin Homes for their support.
