Greetings Neighbors! We want to provide you with an update on how Little Company of Mary’s
Project is progressing. We are now in the second phase of a six-phase project that is late summer of 2014. Tis Campus Transformation Project is currently on track with
Intriguing Facts & Figures To Date:
➤ Late Fall 2010: 60,000 cubic yards of dirt were removed from the site ➤ Early Spring 2011: 6,000 tons of stone were placed ➤ Spring 2011: Te construction crane was installed. It is 206 feet high and has a 250 foot travel radius that is capable of liſting 15,000 pounds
➤ Spring 2011: 600 tons or 1.2 million pounds of steel rebar were placed in the floors and columns of the building ➤ Spring 2011: 8,200 cubic yards of concrete were placed ➤ Summer 2011: 20 tons of steel were erected to form the central plant
Our campus transformation plans demonstrate our continued commitment to be a solid anchor in the Southwest Chicago region through job creation and continued employment opportunities. Little Company of Mary remains the largest employer in Evergreen Park and we are proud that our Campus Transformation Project has generated more than 150 building trade jobs to date. Tis project will not only provide our community with an innovative Hospital with all private rooms and baths, but also a conveniently located Women’s Center for Life and Health. We currently are completing a model patient room and look forward to showcasing this incredible space to our community representatives this fall.
