Nick Dutton. EDITOR’S INTRO

Summer may be fading fast, but before you know it, we will all be shopping to the sound of “I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day”!

With this in mind, let’s remember that conservatories are a major, year-round home improvement with more and more home owners looking to install in time for Christmas to accommodate that festive tree and table. The question is – are you ready to take full advantage of this trend?

Many congratulations to composite door manufacturer Door-Stop on their success in reaching the finals of the National B2B Marketing Awards – and being named by the Sunday Telegraph as one of Britain’s Brightest Businesses “set to be the foundation of Britain’s economic recovery”. Fantastic news for MD Nick Dutton and all his team. Installers Warmseal Windows and Anglian Home Improvements, which also make the Telegraph list, deserve due credit for achieving impressive results in such tough times and richly deserve recognition. They set a great example to the industry.

Our company profile this month is on Hegla, widely acknowledged as a major global force to be reckoned in this industry.

This month’s interesting VIP

Viewpoints are from Tony Pickup of DGCOS and Spectus Window Systems.

We are delighted that our Aluminium section is going from strength to strength and plan more coverage in future. With this in mind, we are very glad to

Martin Althorpe.

welcome “on board” the Clearview contributor team, Nick Dardalis of Aluminium Trade Supply Ltd, who is well-known to anyone working in this field, thanks to his brilliant website. Aluminium is hot news, but rest assured, our aim will always be to report on what’s going on across ALL the industry, with regular updates on all news, products and materials, people and events.

We are now putting the finishing

touches to Clearview’s new interactive website, which goes live and interactive on 7th October. And still on the technology front, thank you to our terrific Twitter respondents for their encouraging comments about the magazine!
