Adobe Acrobat for Beginners

A two-day course in London £530+VAT

22–23 November 2011 24–25 May & 6–7 December 2012

Adobe PDF files have several purposes in publishing: as pre-press files for printing, for electronic distribution, for creating files that are accessible to screen readers and for embedding interactive content, including sound and movie files.

This course covers the creation of PDFs from a variety of different software packages. You will learn about:

• document properties • production options • font issues, interactive PDFs and much more.

By the end of this two-day course, you will feel confident creating PDFs, for any purpose, from proofing to interactive web content.

You will gain hands-on experience on either an Apple Mac or PC, which is pre-loaded with all the latest software, including Adobe CS 5.5.

Who will benefit from this course?

Anyone who needs to understand how to create PDF files for print, proofing or electronic distribution, particularly editorial and production staff.

It would be beneficial to have a working knowledge of Styles and Master pages before attending.

Your tutor Donna Oxley has in-depth print and publishing knowledge gained from a variety of roles with over 20 years’ experience.
