This 3-week course covers the basics of non-linear editing using Avid Media Composer 5 professional software. Students will learn how to navigate Avid’s interface and import footage from a SDHC card, as well as how to work with B-roll, audio, still images, basic effects and transitions. By the conclu- sion of the course, students will have edited a short video segment.

Students must provide their own headphones to monitor sound in all certification classes.
