Grounds and Facilities

Manor Park Primary School is situated centrally in the London Borough of Sutton. We have a school field which is used for teaching in the outdoor environment, PE lessons, many after school clubs and break and lunchtimes during the summer. Our school grounds were once part of a nursery and consequently our field benefits from many unusual types of trees.

Within our grounds we have a sensory garden and vegetable plot and there are quiet sitting areas, flowers and shrub borders.

There are three playgrounds within the school, for children in the Foundation Stage, Key stage 1 and one for Key stage 2 providing open spaces for them to play during their break-times and at lunch. We have developed a range of features on each playground including climbing equipment, a designated football and netball area, basketball nets, an adventure playground and quiet areas. We also have a pagoda, a log cabin and theatre/stage area for children to role play and perform.

Children in the Foundation Stage classes have access to an outdoor learning environment for the majority of the day and are asked to bring in wellies so they can use the outdoor environment, whatever the weather, to extend their learning experiences with a balance of free flow play and guided activities.

Children in each playground have access to water fountains and shaded areas.
