Safeguarding

Throughout our learning community we have a responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of the children in our care. Across the country every School has a designated teacher responsible for child protection, and the Head teacher has a legal duty to report to Social Services any children who appear to be at risk and are giving cause for concern. It is important to recognise that we are an agent of referral and not of investigation. Information may need to be shared with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare.

Attendance and Punctuality

Children need to attend school regularly and on time to benefit from the excellent education on offer at our school. The school has an attendance policy in place with clear guidance which includes supporting parents to ensure that good attendance and punctuality is achieved. Holidays in school time will not be authorised. It is expected that parents and carers arrange family holidays during the school holiday period.

Equal Opportunities

We are committed to gender, racial and disability equality in every part of school life. The Governors of Manor Park Primary School endeavour to ensure that resources, code of conduct, school organisation and recruitment policies reflect a determination to ensure equal opportunities for all and we oppose and challenge discrimination on any basis
