Asia’s best


The Seatrade Asia Awards headed to the great Asian shipping hub of Hong Kong for the 2011 awards ceremony. The shipping community of Hong Kong was out in force to honour the best in the industry from across the region at a glittering gala dinner held at the Grand Hyatt on 17 June.


Times are tougher for the industry than they were a year ago, but this is also when true leaders and innovators come to the fore. The competition across 15 categories decided by our distinguished judging panel was harder than ever. Making the shortlist for many of the categories was a major achievement in itself. The 15 categories decided by our judges spanned a wide range of industry sectors, as well as categories such as corporate social responsibility and innovation.


The companies and organisations selected as winners clearly demonstrate how Asia is taking the lead in the world of shipping and maritime.


As well as those categories decided by our judging panel there were four special awards decided by Seatrade honouring individuals and companies that have made an outstanding contribution to the development of the maritime and shipping industries in Asia.
