The Great Outdoors at Parson House
From the minute you book with us we will make sure your weekend or day is an enjoyable experience, choose from a variety of activities with qualified outdoor instructors, we can organise everything you require, if you want an action packed weekend or just to hire the centre and do your ‘own thing’ is fine by us.
We have had fancy dress stag & hen courses, we have had live bands in the evening, we have had quiet week ends (not many!) whatever you want to do we can organise it for you.
All you have to do is ring or email with your date in mind, we then reserve this for 2 weeks, after which we require a deposit. The remainder is due on your arrival day.
The centre has 30 beds with en-suite facilities, drying rooms, large dining room & kitchen (fully equipped), tv room, games room, excellent facilities for all, nearest pub is 5 mins walk, nearest village 3 miles and Sheffield city centre is 8 miles.
Activities: canoeing, caving, climbing, abseiling, obstacle course, weaselling, rock hopping, orienteering, hill walking, indoor climbing wall and more.
Our fully equipped stores means you just need to bring the clothes you have and we provide all the specialist equipment.
Stag & hen weekends have become more and more popular during the last 2 years, the centre already has bookings for 2012, so don’t be disappointed and book early, for a memorable, enjoyable time.

We used Parson House for a Stag weekend and we all agreed it was an excellent location for a stag weekend. Debbie and the Instructors gave us a warm welcome on arrival and when doing all the events, everyone had a great time doing these events, the food was great and the rooms clean and tidy when we arrived! On the Saturday night we went into Sheffield and had a good night in town.
Overall the food was great the location was fantastic and the Staff very friendly helpful and welcoming. Hope we can do it again when I have recovered!!! I would recommend Parsons House to any group looking for a fun weekend away.”
