Family Dispute Leads to Discovery of Possible Explosives
submitted by Pelham Police Department At approximately 3:13 p.m. Tuesday, September
6, the Pelham Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance at 339/341 Mammoth Road. The original caller reported an ongoing dispute between family members. While speaking to the involved family members’ officers learned that there was a package on the grounds of the property that was marked explosives. After viewing the package officers requested the assistance of the Pelham Fire Department. A determination could not be
made if the contents of the package were safe or not and the New Hampshire State Police Bomb Squad was called for assistance. The New Hampshire State Police Bomb Squad as well as members of the Southeastern New Hampshire Hazardous Materials Mutual Aid District were able to determine that the material was safe to be moved. Members of the State Police Bomb Squad package the material for transportation to be disposed of at a later time. This incident does not appear to be criminal in nature and no charges have been filed.
