What you don’t know will hurt you! By Yuliya Cohen CONSCIOUS ENGAGEMENT WITH THE DARK

As we spiritually evolve, both light and darkness become instruments of growth and expansion of consciousness. It is an expression of “one light.” The great mystics of all ages knew that and now is the time for us to recognise this. Conscious engagement with the dark connects you with the intelligence and power of the force within and around you. Whenever you are faced with a challenge – in a relationship, at work or with your health – the darkness offers us a glimpse of ourselves in the right light

What do we withhold from ourselves by turning our gaze away from darkness? - our personal power, a sense of context that allows us to put into perspective our hurts, fears and judgments. Ultimately we withhold an ability to truly transform.

CONCLUSION

True ignorance is not bliss. Light calls the eyes to turn, and guides it towards the journey through life, but so does the darkness.

I understand fully that we want to live a life in joy and peace and only focus on what is beautiful, and what is light. Yet because here on the planet Earth we are so affected by dark forces, there is only one way to live in joy and peace – to be aware of both. You must be aware of the dangers and influences that surround you, so that you can take the necessary precautions to protect yourself against the forces that aggressively seek to destroy your joy and peace.

Here are a couple of tips on benefits of darkness.

TIPS TIPS TIPS 5.

Focus on the light and acknowledge the darkness. This is the first thing to remember.

Darkness expands perception. Light assists our sight, and without it, we can’t easily see. But darkness

actually engages all our senses. What we cannot see with our eyes we must perceive through our energy field awareness. When you track darkness every sensation comes alive. To become aware of disturbances that may arise, be like a Ninja. Expand your field of awareness, connecting like an animal to his primary senses.

Cancelling is faster than building. Realise that it took more energy for us to fight over the CD in the car

and attract the vortex of darkness, than it took to disable its influence. You can cancel a dark energy vortex in mere moments – you just have to be aware enough to notice its presence before it gets out of hand and change the dynamic of the situation. Create confidence in your ability to change your life in ways you didn’t think possible.

Self-Blame can trap you. Blaming yourself about what you’ve attracted will only start a fight with darkness, get

you more sucked in and spiral the situation further out of control. So if this happens to you - don’t resign into inaction. Bring your attention to a disruptive situation and take a corrective action. Make this your mindful, conscious practice

There is no end point. Self-blame can also occur when you believe the myth that if you sufficiently evolve,

there is an endpoint to your practice of awareness of the darkness. As I wrote earlier, your relationship with darkness is a revolving door, continually bringing up new challenges, new awareness and new opportunities for growth. Create a new vision on your life where the uncomfortable is the fertiliser of your growth.

Light and dark are formless without each other. Darkness gives contrast and they give each other form.

They say, light is the place where truth can be seen but so is darkness. When light illuminates the darkness, it does not obliterate the darkness, it casts shadows.

Too much light can blind you. Have you had an experience of stepping in a bright spot light and not seeing the audience in front of you?

Darkness is important to good health. It is healing and protective.

While we may not be getting enough light during the day, we are also not surrounded by enough darkness at night to restore ourselves. A vast number of studies suggest that light pollution of the modern life causes the disease by interfering with natural sleep cycles.

Researches even found a link between artificial light at night and cancer – they confirm that cancer cells sleep at night in deep darkness.
