PROGRAM
Starting and growing the ISyE contribution THE FOCUS: It is not uncommon for the role and potential contribution of industrial and systems engineering to be misunderstood and hence undervalued. Often this is a function of industrial and systems engineering (ISyE) leadership not positioning the role effectively, allowing the role and contribution to be marginalized.
THE BEST-IN-CLASS WISDOM: There are a number of organizations that have had tremendous sustained success at tapping into the full potential of ISyE, and there are lessons to be learned from those organizations and ISyE leaders. This conference taps into several members of the Council on Industrial Engineering to bring you some pragmatic best practice tips on how to ensure that the ISyE role and contribution achieves full potential.
Our conference provides best-in-class wisdom focused on:
How the ISyE role and contribution can be initialized and grown effectively.
Case examples of how ISyE can be better positioned to contribute strategically, tactically and operationally.
Adjustments that are often required to ensure that ISyE is designed and developed properly to ensure optimal contribution to an organizations drive to achieve profitable growth.
The best-in-class wisdom comes from ISyE leaders from Boeing, John Deere, The Poirier Group and The Ohio State University and represents more than 100 years of combined experience deploying and optimizing ISyE talent and capabilities. The speakers bring experience in aerospace and defense, manufacturing and supply chain, global life sciences, retail (grocery and apparel/merchandise), supply chain and logistics, and enterprise support services (human resources, information technology, finance).
FORMAT: The conference has been designed with you in mind.
One-day format: Arrive Sunday night, then head home Monday afternoon.
Sessions are designed to share experience and wisdom, preceded and followed by opportunities to discuss, ask questions and work in small groups with the speakers’ participation.
Specific focus will be given to attendees’ questions and career objectives, ensuring the voice of the attendee is heard and responded to in real time.
In short, this is an affordable, efficient and effective event for attendees to develop a long, pragmatic list of considerations and objectives to help improve their organizations.
