PLEASANT HILL CHIROPRACTIC How You Can Get SLIM

A brand new supplement to the shelves of Pleasant Hill Chiropractic is called SLIM. It is impressive because it’s listed in the Physician’s Desk Reference (PDR). It has been researched to help reduce cholesterol, triglycerides and high blood sugar levels. It has also helped patients lose weight.

In a perfect world, we would eat only what our bodies need, be physically active to use what we ate as energy and begin the cycle all over again--never storing excess as fat.

We are not perfect! We over eat and for the most part do not eat the proper balance of fiber, carbohydrates, fats and protein. This imbalance over time can lead to High Blood Pressure, Obesity, Diabetes and High Cholesterol which can lead to Heart Disease and/or Arthrosclerosis.

If some of these conditions combine simultaneously it is referred to as Metabolic Syndrome. It all begins with Glucose and Insulin. Glucose is the food that feeds our cells and Insulin is the hormone that lets Glucose into the cells. Too much glucose and not enough insulin leads to fat storage and obesity and for some diabetes.

If we decrease the size of those cells that store fat, they can release Free Fatty Acids which is the breakdown of stored glucose that then can re-enter the bloodstream burning fat to feed cells.

SLIM helps to do this by using a combination of Fiber, Plant Polysaccarides and Vitamins that help to slow the rate at which food is converted to glucose, causing lower amounts of Insulin to be produced.

Glucose and Insulin levels can drop together and with Insulin out of the equation fat cell can release free fatty acids to feed cells. Therefore, the body is on its way to storing less fat and burning more fat cells between meals. Less fat=less cholesterol=less weight=lower blood pressure=a healthier you.

It is simple to use. One packet in water 15 min before a meal two times daily. In conjunction with three well balanced meals, keeping four hours between meals and 12 hours between dinner and a high protein breakfast, positive results have been seen on the inside and outside!

2 19-ounce cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed 1 12-ounce jar roasted peppers, including liquid 1 teaspoon ready-to-use chopped garlic, or 2 garlic cloves, chopped 1-3 teaspoons lemon juice 1 teaspoon ground cumin

Combine all ingredients in a food processor (a blender works as well) and process until smooth. Add a little water if the consistency is too thick.

We like to eat this with Bible bread crackers or with pita bread. It also makes for a healthy alternative to mayo or butter on a sandwich.
