66 September 3 - 16, 2011 New Heights Church opens

“Taking church to a new level” is the theme for New Heights Church, which holds it grand opening service at 10 a.m. Sun., Sept. 25 on the northwest corner of Kyrene and Chandler Boulevard. Pastor Bill and Lori Kirkpatrick say they were sent out from Antioch Church with the “full blessing and support” of Senior Pastor Dennis and Rhonda Slavens and members of the Board, and are partnering with Associated Related Churches (ARC) Church Planting Organization (www.arcchurches.com).

NEW HOME: The new home for New Heights Church is at Kyrene and Chandler Boulevard in Chandler.

The two have been working in student ministries for more than 20 years, 16 with the students of Antioch Church, and the past two as the Life Groups pastor. They have two children, Austin, 18, and Lexi, 12.

“As we have continued to seek the heart of God, we began to see that His call on our life was to pastor a church,” says Pastor Bill. “We are so excited about this new step in God’s plan for our lives, and are passionate about building the church, extending the Kingdom and sharing the good news of the gospel.” The vision of New Heights Church, from its website, is: BELIEVE - In Jesus Christ (weekend services, midweek prayer services) BELONG - Everyone needs a church, where they feel like family and connect (Life Group)

BECOME - The person they were destined to “be” (Growth Track) BUILD – The person and the church through empowering people to serve (Ministry Teams and Future Church Plants.)
