NEW HEALTH CLINIC
Work has commenced on a new £1.1 million state-of-the-art health centre at Berkeley’s flagship Royal Arsenal Riverside development in Woolwich. Set to complete in October the health centre is part of one of the UK’s largest urban regeneration
projects, which is helping to create a vibrant new riverside quarter in Woolwich. The new MedicX health centre has been designed in close consultation with Berkeley and Burridge
Road GP Practice, and will include four consulting rooms, five GP rooms, a minor surgery room, two nurse treatment rooms, a medical library and research facilities, as well as a range of office and management suites, across 10,500 sq ft at The Armouries, Arsenal Way.
BROMLEY REACHES FOR THE SKY Bromley Council has selected Cathedral Group as its development partner for a key site at the southern end of Bromley High Street, as part of the council’s wider proposals to enhance the Town Centre. The existing 600-space Westmoreland Road car park will be demolished and
replaced with a high quality mixed use leisure development. The scheme will focus around a stunning piazza and include a nine screen multiplex cinema, cafes and restaurants, a 150-bedroom Hotel, 173 private and affordable apartments and a new 400 space underground car park. The regeneration development will create over 300 new jobs in Bromley and provide a total of 300m to the local economy over the next ten years.
