TOP OF THE CLASS FOR BLACKHEATH HIGH SCHOOL

Blackheath High’s (a GDST school) students once again achieved excellent A level results. 100% of exams were passed with 68% awarded at A*/A/B grades. Girls achieved outstanding results in a wide range of subjects, including the sciences and maths, with many gaining all A*/A grades. The two years of sixth form study are crucial to success at A level and the offer of a sought-after place at a reputable university. Therefore, whilst it is important to be happy wherever you study, your choice of sixth form needs to prioritise the academic and pastoral support rather than the social programme! Blackheath High School is very proud of

the excellent progress and achievement made by girls who join for Sixth Form study, often through the bursary and scholarship scheme which can cover a significant proportion of the school fees up to full fees. Head of Sixth Form at Blackheath High

School, Kate Elliott explains their recipe for success; “Every effort is made to create a Sixth Form curriculum that thoroughly engages students not only in academic rigour, but also in activities that give them life skills for the years beyond Higher Education. Our students are guaranteed individual attention from their tutors thus enabling them to reach their academic potential. Strong pastoral and co- curricular experiences help to produce well rounded, well informed and confident young women.” Academically there are huge benefits to
