What do you love most about your job? You never get bored. You are constantly pushing the envelope and testing yourself facing a different challenge everyday.
Even the most simple scenes offer twists and don't always go as expected. I have to think on my feet. No matter how many times you rehearse something or how prepared you are, something always changes.
Essential kit? A thick skin, calm confident demeanor, a good sense of humor, full body harness and good conformable pair of elbow pads.
Who have you enjoyed working with the most? Steven Spielberg, Hugh Jackman, Ashley Judd, Jackie Chan.
How do you recover after a tough day at work? Take a hot bath, a few Advil, relax in bed and watch a movie.
THE EVOLUTION OF ACTION
Daring action scenes elevate the entertainment factor of films but require skilled performers and highly choreographed stunt sequences. The more elaborate the stunt the more planning and innovation involved to pull it off! This standard of excellence has set the benchmark high which, means to quench thrill seeking audiences of their thirst the stunt world must constantly explore new ways to incite the evolution of action.
Melissa Stubbs is no stranger when it comes to extreme stunts having choreographed and performed many of the most memorable action sequences in movie history. Sustaining a career in an industry that is dynamic and dangerous is no mean feat but Melissa has managed to just that. The list of films and tv series that bare her credit could easily rival the body count in one of Schwarzennegers films, beckoning the question - is there a film Melissa hasn’t stunted for?
From Sci-fi to comedy and everything in between, this woman of action has doubled for Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu and even the Olsen twins.
