The task of compelling people to consider and counter negative influences to the health of our earth is increasingly difficult. With media exposure so constant and ominous we sometimes choose to ignore or even reject the subject of conservation all together.
Yet, our resources are diminishing and a diversity of species are vanishing at unprecedented rates. It is therefor paramount to be creative in campaign so as to combat the paradox of politics and press which threatens the support of preservation projects.
Discovering new species and exploring unchartered eco-systems appeals to people’s spirit of adventure and revives interest in wild treasures still to be recognized or understood.
Breaking the ice in the Arctic are the scientists of Polar Bears International along with wildlife photographer Daniel J. Cox, who in our feature story delve beneath the Arctic surface to unearth the secrets of the ice.
