ATHLETICS

MAC golfers approach the last event of the season, the Golf Championships, at the Reserve Saturday, Sept. 24 and Sunday, Sept. 25. Women playfor one day and men for both days. It’s a great way to wind up the season and golfers don’t need to be great to attend. It is competitive but open to all levels. Use handicaps established this season and join the group. The Golf Committee would enourages more women to participate. For more information call Outdoor Department Manager Chad Failla at 503-517-7574, or visit the newly created MAC Golf Facebook page.

Soon after Championship Golf, join us for the 19th Hole banquet at the club on Wednesday, Oct. 5 in 26 Founders. The cocktails begin at 6 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. It’s a nice way to end the golf season, and there is a presentation to winners of the Golf Championships. A golf pro is the guest speaker. Look for more details at theMAC.com, The Winged M, the golf Facebook page or contact Failla at 503-517-7574.

The Golf Committee also encourages comments and suggestions from members and input on new events the club might organize.
