theMAC.com New Feature!
Starting this month,
theMAC.com allows a senior member to approve direct access to his or her spouse’s website account through a new impersonator feature.
Rediscover your website
MAC’s current website was launched almost two years ago. Like most websites, many areas are easy to use and understand, while others take time to learn. This page is devoted to explaining features and functions to help you and your fellow MAC members understand and rediscover your website.
All senior members are assigned a website account linked to their MAC member- ship account. Because these accounts are unique to each member, updating information or signing up for classes or events must be done by logging in to the website as the unique member. Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 6,
www.theMAC.com launches a new feature that allows members to authorize their spouse to “imper- sonate” each other’s website account. This new feature allows members to update the information on their spouse’s account as well as sign up for events or activities.
On the “my member- ship” tab, click on the “my profile” page to
find the impersonator check box.
To authorize this feature, each member signs on to his or her own website account. Once signed on, the member goes to the “my membership” tab and clicks “my profi le.” On the “my profi le” page simply check “Allow Spouse to Impersonate Me” and scroll down the page and click the “save changes” button.
When the member’s spouse signs on to the site, the spouse once-again goes to the “my profi le” page, and under the “other members” area on the page, clicks on “impersonate” next to the spouse. This feature is expected to be avail- able for children’s events and classes starting with the winter class/ camp registration. Until then, parents will continue to use the existing processes to register children for classes and events.
