Moon rituals  To be ‘present’ in your moon cycle is important for


re-connecting with Mother Earth, knowing when to project your energy outward and knowing when to slow down and channel it within.


Ancient cultures worshipped female deities and closely observed the moon cycles. For them, every phase of the moon and change of season was acknowledged and celebrated.


Our connection to the moon is of great importance and it’s L


empowering for women to chart their own moon cycle on a moon calendar. If we are aware of our natural cycles and the corresponding moon phases, we can better understand what we may be feeling physically and emotionally at any given time.


If we are connected with ourselves we will be able to predict our


cycle to the day, and plot it for the entire year, which can be quite handy when planning celebrations, vacations and important events.


Many people choose to plant and harvest by the moon’s phases


too, and there are specific calendars available for this purpose. It’s beautiful to honour the moon’s natural cycles with other


women celebrating the goddess within all women. You can do this by having rituals comprising of feasts, fires, dancing, music and blessings. Creating seasonal altars in your home or nature and mixing up special drinks is also fun.

If I have had a lot of people in my home and feel the crystals have absorbed a lot of energy, I place them in the light of the full moon submerged in a bowl of seawater or Himalayan crystal salt. You can also include jewellery and anything else that has taken on energy. If you live by the ocean you can draw a circle in the sand and make a mandala of your crystals and healing tools, and meditate under the moon while the waves lap over them.


I like to write a manifestation list every full


moon, burn it, sending the energy upward. This feels amazing and it works.
