GLEANINGS NEWS AND PRAYER REQUESTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD

First, trusting God. Tree days before

we leſt the Philippines, a robber decided he wanted some of our things. So he took all of our electronics while we were gone and leſt us a big mess to pick up. Second, persistence. We have never

seen a creature like the small ants that are here in Cambodia. No matter what trick or how tight you close something, they always seem to get in. We are amazed and pray for the same persistence in serving the Lord here. Tird, waiting on the Lord. Transition-

ing from a culture like the United States that has everything now and thousands of choices takes some time to shiſt gears to the world of “not yet” and “we don’t have.” Yes, there have been some hard but

good lessons. We are enjoying the jour- ney! We found the New Horizon Learning

Center and the church here in Banlung in need of many things. We have 124 students registered who are divided into nine classes each day. Te daily task of teaching lessons and equipping the teach- ers takes a lot of our day. But there is still time to have Bible studies twice a week. Our goal is to make disciples—equip-

ping them to reach Cambodia with the Gospel of Christ. Tanks for your dili- gent prayers and your heart of giving. – John Page

Ukraine We’re about to celebrate our one-year

anniversary here in Pasco, Washington, and I can say with all my heart that it has been a tremendous blessing to be plant- ing a church with the BMMA. Our strat- egy is simple, and it’s the same today as it was when we arrived: Love people and plant the seed of God’s Word. I’ve oſten complicated things in the past trying to figure out what I can do, but it’s not about me. It’s about God and what He can do. So we plant the seed and water and watch God as He makes it grow. We presently are having about

American visitors, missionary visits, sal- vations. God is good. Please pray for me as I continue trips to various countries teaching/mentoring men in beginning new churches. Pray for those he’s already taught that they would use the materi- als/tools he has imparted. While you are at it, pray for Coleen who stays behind, sometimes for long periods. Pray for her Sunday school ministry, which begins each fall, and the classes she does with ladies. God continues to bless, and we praise

God that you liſt us up in prayers. We couldn’t do it without you. Tank you to all who donate items to the craſt ministry and to our work in general. We are ever grateful.

get out into the community and plant the seeds of the Gospel. As I am writing this, our children’s ministry is running our annual Sports Camp VBS. We are also in communication with another local or- ganization to try to network our church to some senior citizens who might be in need of help with yard work or minor repairs on their homes. We are still pray- ing that God will open the doors to a new community that we can start reaching out towards with the hopes of starting a new church plant there. My wife and I recently got the unexpected blessing of finding out that we are expecting another child to be born around February 2012, so we are all excited about that. Please pray that God will bless our effort to share the Gospel in tangible ways this summer and that as a result, people would come to know Jesus.

Illinois As we pursue His vision to reach the

nine million souls of Chicagoland, we continue to be overwhelmed by both

individuals who are partnering with us. Please pray that God would continue to send us people we can disciple and put to work for His kingdom and His church for His glory. If you would like to receive our monthly newsletter you can e-mail me at brad@summitlifenow.com.
