your support network
Your time at the University isn’t purely about academic achievement. Being at university is about seeking out as many opportunities and experiences as possible during your journey though to graduation. There are many student services here at the University of Dundee who are here to help, advise and support you in enjoying that journey.
The Advice Team
The Advice Team are a central point of contact for questions, if we are not able to give you the answer we can signpost you to a specialist who will be able to help. There is a range of support available to all our students with workshops, events and activities aimed at helping you develop personal skills which will help you to gain the career you want when you graduate.
You can find the Advice Team in the marquee throughout Welcome Week. Alternatively they are based on Level 4 in DUSA (no. 43 on the campus map) and you are welcome to come in anytime between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Visit the Student Services website for more information:

The Chaplaincy
The Chaplaincy is situated right in the heart of the city campus and its facilities and resources are available to students of all faiths or none. You don’t have to be religious to visit the Chaplaincy; it is a relaxing and friendly place and hosts many social activities during semester-time.
Facilities include a chapel, a coffee bar, quiet room and meeting room.
During Welcome Week and throughout the semester the Chaplaincy holds various events, so come in and see what is on offer. We provide a multicultural and supportive environment so whoever you are and wherever you come from you will always be welcome in the Chaplaincy. Find out more here:

Peer Connections
Peer Connections is a welcoming, buddying and mentoring scheme for all students. Our Peer Connectors are trained student volunteers who are happy to share their experience with you to get started and settled in quickly. We operate throughout the academic year so you can contact us after Welcome Week if you want. To make an appointment contact the Peer Connections Coordinator on 01382 384932 or email

Nursery
Forty places are available for the children of students and members of staff and are offered on a full-time or part-time basis. It is strongly recommended that you apply as early as possible for a place as demand is very high. The nursery is only available for children aged between 2 and 5 years:
