G2 DEFINITIVE GENESIS SATURDAY 24TH SEPTEMBER 8PM
CREAM OF CLAPTON Saturday 1st October 8pm
MAIDEN Saturday 8th October 8pm
HI-ON
You have to be a little bit mad to want to replicate the layered, complex sound of 1970’s Genesis and G2 have been doing just that successfully for nine years. The sound was unique then and remains so now when G2 play it.
G2 Definitive Genesis pay tribute to the vintage period in Genesis’ long and colourful history, the four-man era, sometimes referred to as The Intermediate Years (1975 - 78).
It’s the mid/late seventies and Peter Gabriel had recently departed to be replaced by relatively unknown ‘singing’ drummer Phil Collins. Rather than being doomed to failure, the four man era of Hackett, Banks, Rutherford and Collins lifted the band’s fame to even greater heights with the studio albums ‘Trick Of The Tail’ and ‘Wind and Wuthering’.
Successive world tours culminating in three sold out nights at London’s Earls Court and the subsequent release of the live album ‘Seconds Out’ put Genesis into the super-group category. Dance On A Volcano, Ripples, Entangled, Los Endos, Blood On The Rooftops, One For The Vine, Afterglow, mixed up with the classics of the Gabriel years, Firth Of Fifth, Cinema Show, I Know What I Like and the infamous Suppers Ready, this is vintage Genesis and performed by G2 to a level Genesis themselves would be proud of!
The bar and barbecue are open from 7pm. THE BEAT FRIDAY 14TH OCTOBER 8PM
Cream of Clapton is a remarkable and utterly authentic tribute to Eric Clapton, covering the songs from his days in Cream and Derek and the Dominoes, as well as his spectacular solo career.
I Shot the Sheriff, Wonderful Tonight, Cocaine, Layla, and an unplugged acoustic set featuring such favourites as Tears in Heaven, are just a few of the many songs faithfully performed by Cream of Clapton in their two hour theatre show.
Cream of Clapton have been playing together for nine years and it shows. This is a tribute without equal - nobody does it better!
There is a late bar and barbecue from 7pm.
The band has toured many countries, appeared on television, recorded for an Iron Maiden tribute album and in 2000 were invited by Iron Maiden to perform at the official convention. What an honour to be acknowledged as the official tribute band and they jumped at the chance!
So come on all you Iron Maiden fans, rock on down to The Wharf and join Hi-On Maiden (the official tribute band endorsed by Steve Harris) as they power their way through The Wicker Man and 2 Minutes to Midnight.
The late bar and barbecue open at 7pm.

Retiring after 25 years together and here for one final show at The Wharf, the guitar, bass and drums trio The Hamsters have long been established as one of our premier live attractions. Although primarily playing their own brand of Rock, Blues and Americana, they’re also widely regarded as the UK’s leading interpreters of the music of Jimi Hendrix & ZZ Top and will no doubt be featuring some tonight. Also, another popular feature of their two-hour performance will be the inclusion of a few acoustic songs!
Guitarist/singer Slim has recently been featured in Guitarist magazine’s ‘Blues Guitar Heroes’ book.
“The Hamsters are fabulous: one of Britain’s very best live bands” - Bob Harris, Radio 2
“The Hamsters are a great Blues band” - Johnny Walker, Radio 2 “Nobody does the music of Jimi Hendrix and ZZ Top better (apart from the real ZZ Top)” - The Times
The bar and barbecue open at 7pm.
