Rusty Hanna was the man of choice. “Credit for the landscaping goes to

John Hall,” Franklin says. “As always he and his crew worked wonders with the landscaping and irrigation.” Te comfort of the home can be attributed in part to Andy Rhodes who was re- sponsible for the multi-zone air condi- tioning system that was installed to make the South Georgia summers just a bit more bearable. “Willie Connell and Alan Stone

headed up the electrical and plumbing crews, and each did a tremendous job in reworking a 60 year old structure,” Franklin says. Te cabinetry was done by Ray Hall. “Ray did a fantastic job,” he says.

Lastly, local interior decorator, Jim “Buck” Hill handled installing the fin- ishing touches on the interior design work to put, as Franklin says, “the

icing on the cake.” He says that all these contractors should be very proud to have had a hand in the restoration of one of Moultrie’s most well-known homes. Franklin says in the few short years

since he has moved to Moultrie he has been fortunate. “I have been truly blessed,” Franklin

says. “I met the beautiful lady who has since become my wife, and my com- pany, Larry Franklin Properties, Inc., has seen tremendous growth.” Cur- rently LFP, Inc. has over 200 families living in their rental apartments and homes. “We have been fortunate to make

several great investments in Moultrie and Colquitt County,” Franklin says. Tose investments include the devel- opment and management of Indian Lake Recreation Center, Moultrie

Mini-Storage, Art Center apartments, the Villas on Fiſth and Holly Cove apartment homes. Te company’s newest venture is the Preserve at Cob- blestone Te Preserve at Cobblestone is Moul-

trie’s premier gated- housing develop- ment and has grown rapidly over the past couple of years. Commercial Banking Company in Moultrie pro- vided the financing for this project and has been an integral part of our suc- cess. In addition to those develop- ments, Franklin’s company has partnered with local businessmen Bill and Donnie Edwards and together own and manage Southland Villas townhomes. “It is Moultrie’s upscale town home
