Educated in Curacao, Netherlands Antilles, she earned a bachelor’s in business administration and continued her educa- tion at Point Park Univer- sity, where she earned an MBA in international busi- ness. As a marketing spe- cialist at Waters Corpora- tion, Curiel is responsible for web testing and online advertisement of the com- pany’s various technolo- gies. She is also a 2006 graduate of the CORO PittsburghWomen in Leadership Academy. Her professional affiliations include involvementwith Pittsburgh Social Venture Partners, Global Links, Green Chem- istry Group. Her community endeavors include work with Allegheny Center Al- liance Church, Lawrenceville Community Garden and Conflict Kitchen. Her ulti- mate dreamis to become an ambassador of hope who reaches beyond borders to inspire youth across the globe.

SHARON DANIELS President, The Isaiah Project The loss of Sharon Daniels’ eldest son has lead to the creation ofMy Brother’s


Keeper and a life dedicated toward making Pittsburgh neighborhoods safer for all children. The Pittsburgh native graduated from South Hills High School and graduated fromLincoln University before she kicked off a career in business that often required travel throughout the country. After learning her son, Charles, had been killed in gun violence in 2001, she began a streetministry that reaches out to drug dealers, prostitutes, addicts, gang members and anyone else she could see was headed on the wrong path. Since that time, My Brother’s Keeper has grown to include The Isaiah Project, a development and jobs initiative aimed at youth ages 14-19. Daniels is a member of Mayor Luke Ravenstahl’s cabinet for Anti-Violence, amember of the South Consortiumand the 18th ward 4th district committee woman. She is a trustee at Beulah Baptist Church and also teaches Sunday school and an afternoon Bible study class. She is amother of three and grandmother of four.
