Hungry Monk, ICAN team up for wing wars

Come for wings and give to a great cause during the Ultimate Wing Wars challenge at The Hungry Monk, a sports-themed, family friendly pub in Chandler. For every wing purchased from Aug. 13 to Sept. 3, Hungry Monk, which also offers a range of craft beers, will donate a percentage of proceeds to ICAN, a community-based youth program that builds self-confidence and healthy decision-making skills. To support ICAN, Hungry Monk’s goal is to sell more than 10,000 wings by serving their buffalo, Cajun, barbeque, honey hot, lemon pepper, honey mustard, roasted garlic, sweet & sour, teriyaki and Thai peanut chicken appetizers. In addition, hungry teams of wing slinging eaters can compete from 2 to 4 p.m. every Saturday to eat hot and mild wings. Local businesses, clubs and schools are encouraged to sign up and show they can “take the heat” while supporting the ICAN cause.

The Hungry Monk is located at 1760 W. Chandler Blvd. in Chandler, and is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sign up by calling 480-963-8000; or for information about The Hungry Monk, visit www.hungrymonkaz.com.
