detectors, proprietary remote SmartController is part of the LEDsmart controls range. The module features built in colour calibration allowing the controller and light engine module to be interchangeable. This allows SmartWhite to emulate natural daylight cycles and provide an efficient, high quality, creative solution for flexible use of space in many environments.

Another company championing the LED is The Light Projects Group, who are creating LED versions of their most popular light fittings. This will allow architects, interior designers and lighting designers the widest possible choice for their schemes. Initially, the available options are the LEDStar range’s Spotlights and Recessed Lights. The LEDStar1 is a compact, high performance spotlight manufactured from

anodised aluminium in an anodised or PTFE Coating in white, black or satin silver. Using Seoul P4 LEDs, it is available in four high performance whites ranging from incandescent white 2650-2850K through to cool white 4150-4500K, with a CRI of 93 and a lumen output between 216 and 218 at 350mA, and between 389 and 410 at 700mA. It is available in both recessed and spotlight versions in different beam angles, from a narrow 10° through to 80°, and with a 20° tilt option.

The LEDStar 3 has three LEDs and is the bigger version in the range. Available with the same rendering and finishes as the LEDStar 1, it gives an LED lumen output between 216 and 228 at 350mA, and between 389 and 410 at 700mA. Both fittings are Class 3 with an IP rating of 67 and offer a range of accessories.

Deltalight is also launching a brand new LED range. The Reo LED collection is a new generation of dimmable recessed spots that uses carefully selected high performance LEDs, which are the equivalent of 35-50 Watt halogen lamps. Consuming less than 10 Watts, they deliver a powerful, warm light. The Reo LED collection guarantees a perfect balance between lighting quality and energy efficiency. Countersunk conical shapes create an almost unnoticeable transition from the intense LED light with the ceiling. The attractive front rings make a halo appear round the LED reflector, creating an exceptional result. This Reo family comes in various finishes: round, square, warm white, cold white, trimless.
