Designer/Senior Designer (Lighting) Berlin Office
Arup Lighting is the lighting design studio of the global design and engineering practice Arup, offering a comprehensive architectural and natural lighting design service. As an independent lighting design studio, we combine Arup’s robust engineering skills and comprehensive experience with creativity, flair, and innovation.
The position is available in our Berlin office as an integral part of the developing European lighting team with offices in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Moscow. It is also part of the technology group within the Berlin office, working closely with the facade engineering, material science, building physics, and sustainability design teams.
We are looking for a designer with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in lighting or a lighting-related field. Particular skills in graphics, drawing, urban design, daylighting design, 3d modelling, theatre, media, or film would be an advantage. The candidate must be able to speak German at a fluent/native level, have proven work experience in Germany, as well as a good command of English.

Area Sales Manager – North / Scotland
Reporting to the UK Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing new business and maintaining existing business within the North/Scotland region. You will possess a good knowledge of Lighting Controls and have experience of Specification Project Sales to Lighting Designers, Consulting Engineers, Architects and Contractors. A recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering would be advantageous. You should demonstrate good social and communication skills and be a team player. The ability to work on your own initiative is essential. You should hold a full driving license.
Product Manager – Lighting Systems
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager, with a solid track record in product management including commercial aspects. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of lighting systems and services, complemented with experience of building management systems, or similar larger software based systems. International communication experience, along with an understanding of electronics and software technologies is advantageous. You will be business driven, analytical, with a systematic approach.
Product Manager, LED drivers
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to support the growth area of LED drivers. Working closely with our customers, sales, marketing and R&D, you will create technical specifications for new products, participate in new product introductions, support sales and customers on a technical level, create marketing collateral, and manage product launches. The ideal candidate will have product management experience in LED lighting, have a recognised qualification in power electronics, and be fluent in written and spoken English (additional languages advantageous). Travelling is expected in this role. Candidates based outside of the UK may be considered for this role.
