Cynthia Vardhan Ceramics Booth 9376
New to the NYIGF are Cynthia Vardhan Ceramics. Owner Cynthia is an independent ceramic designer-maker working in downtown Columbus, Ohio who specialises in intricately patterned, functional porcelain work. All items are thrown by hand, and decorated by hand also. The decorative technique gives the pieces real texture. Inspiration for the pieces style comes from thing such as Moroccan tiles, Indian henna, and French pastries. By embracing intense, vivid, precise decoration and uniting it with sophisticated forms made from translucent porcelain, these pieces hoped to be distinct and unique.
