This is the view you could enjoy from a Welcome...
balloon at this year’s Arundel Festival - see page 14
With a bank holiday at the end of the month there is plenty going on in the area and our August What’s On guide is packed with local events pages 4-8. Don’t forget, if you are organising something which you would like to promote to Sussex Local readers you can simply submit details via the What’s On page on our website at sussexlocal.net
. It’s free for charity and community events and just £24 for commercial listings.
The big event this month is of course the Arundel Festival. Ten days of music, art, drama and a bewildering variety of free events, culminating in an amazing firework show. Read our preview on pages 14 - 15.
Also this month, if you like eating out don’t miss our ‘Summer Dining’ pub/restaurant feature on pages 16 and 17. Still on the subject of eating, as usual we’ve a delicious recipe for you to try, it’s a bit naughty but you deserve it! See page 20.
Our Charity & Community section (p14) is the place to find out about local news and views and we welcome submissions from local groups and organisations. Please send your press releases and photographs to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Have a great August, Kristina Words of Wit

sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken.” JAMES DENT
