ONE VISION FROM CRANE PAYMENT SOLUTIONS Crane Payment Solutions’ multi-currency validation system is the perfect fit for the SE Asia region according to Sim Bielak, Crane Payment Solutions’ VP Sales of Global Gaming. The CashCode one is always well received by visitors and customers who recognise the universality of the bill validator. Following a successful trial period CPS has launched the new CashCode One 2500-note cash box for cash redemption terminals. This high capacity unit eliminates the need for emergency drops and reduces drop frequency significantly. Other benefits for casinos include a universal design to accept all currencies, a single hardware platform reducing support and operation costs, and flexible architecture. The true multi-width function, coupled with a sizeable memory capacity for multiple currencies and large bill sets makes it a great choice for Macau. The diversity of the region makes it a perfect location to promote a multi-currency validation system.

JCM GLOBAL’S VANTAGE POINT INTO MACAU MARKET Visitors to the JCM Global booth at G2E Asia took the opportunity to get their first look at the company’s new range of products including: iVIZION bill validator, new PayCheck 4 thermal printer and new Vantage table game bill validator.

JCM Global showed an advanced prototype of its new Vantage validator specifically created for the Macau market, where players typically buy-in to table games with a brick of notes. With the Vantage, instead of the dealer taking several minutes to count, notes can be counted at a blazing fast eight notes per second, dramatically increasing table game speed and the number of games played per hour. Its wide bill opening can accept a range of currencies, including Hong Kong dollars, Euros, Singapore dollars and US dollars. Next was the new PayCheck 4 thermal printer. Only the PayCheck 4 from JCM Global can print a ticket in just 0.6 seconds. In fact, the PayCheck 4 is so fast, there’s no need to rely on a ‘burst.’ The PayCheck 4 also has the most memory of any printer in gaming, so it can store more fonts, images, logos and barcodes to personalise the player’s gaming experience.

Finally, iVIZION is JCM Global’s new benchmark validator for the industry, coming complete with Contact Image Sensor, 99 per cent+ acceptance rate, counterfeit protection, RFID ICB cashbox with encrypted and web-enabled data, 64 megabit Flash memory, self-calibrating sensor package, ability to read barcodes horizontally and vertically, two high-speed processors, sealed 85 mm banknote path, removable stacker mechanism and compatibility with all gaming protocols.

Poker growth in region

Giorgio Abbiati, the CEO of Abbiati Casino Equipment, was very positive talking about the G2E Asia 2011 edition, explaining that he believed it to be the most successful show in Asia in the last five years. “We had a very busy event with a great number of visits, the majority of which were important decision makers,” said Mr. Abbiati. He continued saying that the show had brought the company a number of interesting opportunities, meeting a number of new clients not just from Macau, but also from the other Asia regions, including Singapore and India.

Interest focused on one of the newest Abbiati products, the TV Poker table. Despite the fact that poker is not considered a top game in Asian countries, the enormous interest shows that the game is becoming more popular in the market, attracting more players to poker. Abbiati’s new table has been designed and manufactured using top quality materials in collaboration with Germany’s security experts, Dallmeier, with Abbiati encorporating Dallmeier’s high quality cameras into their product offer. “This is the best solution the market has to offer,” stated Giorgio Abbiati.

Another attention grabbing product was G3 I JULY 2011 I PAGE 44

Abbiati's innovative American Roulette table, which was displayed with a large range of Winning Number displays. Specially designed for the show, the table was manufactured using materials such as carbon fibre, top quality leather and the table itself was completed with the roulette wheel incorporating Abbiati’s patented ‘Laser’ technology. Abbiati also brought to Macau its Bean Shape Baccarat table, which is still the most popular game in the Asian region.

During the show Abbiati additionally introduced visitors to its new line of chips and plaques, which contain more security features, including edge designs and UV logos. Abbiati was also pleased to announce that they had just received their licence approval to sell gaming chips in Nevada, approved by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, which has been a key element for discussions with American operators in Macau.

Mr. Abbiati confirmed that this year's show was a great experience for the company, with staff meeting existing clients and making new important contacts, which will bring new challenging projects right across the Asian region for Abbiati Casino Equipment in the near future.
