Strategic development of the SE Asian gaming market continues by Bulgaria’s EGT

Winning in Asia - EGT

Having secured a successful partnership with its distributor, Winning Asia, a company that has been working with EGT since the formation of the company, the Bulgarian slot manufacturer has established a strong presence in Macau and the Thai border. “We have also installed machines in the Philippines,” explained EGT’s Nadia Filipova at G2E Asia, “and we’re currently reinforcing our stronghold with PAGCOR, which hopefully will result in a significant increase in the number of machines in this market within the next 12 months. We are also looking forward to putting our machines on the casino floors of Singapore and Malaysia in the next two years,” she added.

EGT has already established its presence throughout the Asian market with its Vega Vision Series incorporating the highly successful 19ins. dual monitor Vega Vision Upright cabinet along with an extensive video slots library. “The Philippines and Singapore are the two countries that we believe will be the next big market for us. The newly legalised jurisdiction in Singapore, which is only 12 months old, has reported outstanding revenues from the two casinos, Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa,” stated Ms. Filipova. “The Philippines, meanwhile, has openly communicated its promise to the industry with the advent of its forthcoming development know as the Manila Bay, which aims to boost the well established representative office in Manila. We believe that we have the right product to satisfy the market.”

EGT has created a strategic presence in the SE Asia market to create visibility that will raise the awareness of its brand in the region. EGT’s Pamela Galisim, Sales Manager Asia, is strategically based in the Philippines and the company’s official representatives for Macau, Winning Asia, have an excellent local establishment to assist EGT to promote its games to the market. “Our priority in Asia this year is to obtain GLI approval on our full range of Vega Vision+ Series game library,” explained Ms. Filipova. “Having most of the games translated into Chinese and certifying them will allow our customers to take advantage of EGT’s full range of gaming content.”

Matsui perfect Pokertek deal

Making its international debut at the G2E Asia 2011 show in Macau was Matsui Gaming's latest addition to its broad chip range - a new four colour chip. "We're responding to customer demand," explained Matsui Gaming Europe's Dave Holt. "We're had multiple requests for further design and colour choice and the additional of a fourth colour to the process satisfies each of these demands." While most chips are commonly created using three colours to simplify the chip injection moulding process, the increased complication also provides greater security for the casino. What's more difficult to manufacture is logically more complicated to try to duplicate. "There's a good reason why most chips are three colour,” explained Mr. Holt. “It’s very difficult to keep the consistency of the colours when adding four colours, but the design benefits are obvious and we can now much more closely match the colours and designs of our customers’ casino logos etc.”

Hot on the heels of Matsui Gaming Europe’s recent success having fulfilled a London Clubs International order for its new Playboy Club London Casino, the company has fulfilled yet another G Casino chip order for Grosvenor Casinos, making this the twelfth chip consignment for the casino group in an ongoing relationship with Matsui. In Macau, the company has also forged another

relationship with PokerTek, showing at the G2E Asia the company's latest multi- player PokerPro Texas Hold'em table. Matsui has signed an exclusive distribution deal with US-based PokerTek for the Asian market and has already sited a number of tables in Macau. “Poker has begun to develop as a popular game in Macau,” stated Matsui's Ryota Suzuki. “There are now more than 100 live tables here in Macau with the game growing in popularity while the pressure on staff shortages can’t keep pace. We are excited about the possibilities of working with PokerTek in the Macau market and in countries such as Vietnam and India, for example, where the game is also proving very popular.”
