FutureLogic launches new iPad App for PromoNet at the G2E Asia show in Macau
The US$4.1bn expansion of the Venetian Macau Hotel and Resort on plots 5 and 6 on the Cotai Strip is greatly anticipated by players and suppliers ahead of the planned opening in 2012. As the expansion of Cotai continues, the growth of Macau and Singapore has run parallel with the expansion of key suppliers in the region, at the forefront of which is FutureLogic. The thermal ticket printer supplier has secured around 80 per cent of the market in South East Asia for its GEN 2 and 3 printer. Properties both large and small have recognised the benefits of TITO operation and chosen a company with an international track-record. “We have concentrated upon building the brand in this marketplace,” stated FutureLogic’s John Edmunds in Macau. The most recent focus for FutureLogic in the SE Asia market has been the signing of contracts with operators for PromoNet, FutureLogic’s promotional couponing system. “We have spent a lot of development time refining the GUI (graphical user interface) on PromoNet and showed for the first time in Macau the iPad App for PromoNet,” he added. Having submitted PromoNet to GLI for evaluation, GLI gave the greenlight in June to bring the system to market.
Launched at G2E Asia, the PromoNet iPad App shows a ‘heat map’ of the gaming floor, giving hosts an indication of where exactly they should be offering customer service. The host can zoom into the map to single out individual machines and print a coupon directly to that player. The App allows the host to communicate directly with the player through the iPad, which is an example of manual couponing. Intelligent coupling does this automatically by following preset parameters. The GUI is now easier to use and more icon focused, making it much more intuitive. FutureLogic has also built a new navigational page to make it simpler for the operator to navigate through the PromoNet system. “Trying to incentivise people to stay an extra night in Macau is a major issue with operators,” said Mr. Edmunds. “Occupancy in Macau is currently 1.4 nights per stay, with operators looking to drive that to 1.6. In order to achieve this, operators need to differentiate between carded and non-carded play. At the MGM for example, 80 per cent of the play is carded, while at the Grand Lisboa only four per cent is carded. PromoNet allows operators to reward both the carded and uncarded players and offer extra nights to reward players and drive up occupancy rates at the same time.”
PromoNet -a hot ticket in Asia
CAMMEGH - TRIALS AND TRIBUTES IN ASIA AND BEYOND In the context of the Asian Market, Cammegh continue to be the Klischkos of the casino industry, punching above their weight and pleasing the crowds at G2E Asia with a dazzling array of craftsmanship and innovation. Having secured trials with Marina Bay Sands, the Venetian in Macau and Las Vegas, all markets looking for the very best from their roulette wheel supplier, Cammegh has proved that its decision to seek a Nevada licence is rewarding the company with greater market reach and exposure. “We have a test wheel trialling in Vegas in what is a fantastic opportunity for Cammegh,” stated Andrew Cammegh at G2E Asia. “The Nevada licence has opened up a number of doors for us and it’s evident in the new contacts we've made in Macau that it’s had an impact with the larger cooperatives, increasing our market reach. We have experienced a constant stream of high quality meetings to show existing and new customers our latest products. It’s shown us that being present internationally is hugely important and that we were right to connect all the dots.”
Having joined the dots between Vegas, Macau and Singapore, Cammegh is looking to exploit this opportunity into new markets and new properties in Asia. The company’s core products continue to perform strongly while Cammegh’s side bets add the perfect blend of excitement and dynamic twists to the traditional game. While the company is on course for it best year ever, with a new wheel submitted to the CRA test agency in Singapore for approval, and a new product to be approved with a view to signing a major supply deal in Singapore in the near future, Cammegh’s presence in both Vegas and Macau is already paying dividends in both markets.
