SALTBURN BLUES CLUB
Exciting news! Saltburn is to gain a new Blues Club to complement the existing vibrant Saltburn music scene. The venue is the intimate Community Hall and will be once a month. The first gig is now booked for Friday, 16th September.
THE GOOD BAD GUYS headline after their stunning performance at the recent Grand Ol’ Oprey Blues night where they literally blew the audience away with their brand of blues and soul influenced by the likes of B.B. King, Bobby Bland and Van Morrison. The line up includes Martin Bennett on drums, Mick Hutch bass, Steve Smith guitar/vocals, Frank Clark keys, John Macgough Tenor Sax and Dan Allen alto sax. The support band is local band MOJO 5 who combine
blues and soul with modern attitude creating an intense powerful live sound with influences including Koko Taylor, Seasick Steve and Muddy Waters. The line up is Faye Simpson vocals, Geoff Keeler guitar, James Thynne bass and James ‘Jimbo’ Jordan on drums. So Blues fans be there for the inaugural Saltburn Blues
Club gig. Forthcoming artists include The Mentulls, Ray Stubbs and the Taylor Dixon Band. Tickets available from Whistlestop Wines and from Harry on 07960 935263.

Saltburn Community Ladies Help for Heroes
On 25th June at Sainsbury’s Supermarket Saltburn we raised £485.00 for Help for Heroes from a tombola and raffle held in the store,. Many thanks to Ian, staff and customers. On Sunday, 10th July at the Victorian Footballers duck derby held in the valley gardens, we raised a further £522 for Help for Heroes on a tombola and children’s game stall plus sale of wristbands.
