Handball: San Francisco Olympic Club Exchange

Prime Rib Buffet

Saturday, Aug. 13 l 5:30-9 p.m. in the Men’s Bar

The Prime Rib Buffet is offered the second Saturday of each month. To make reservations, call 503-517-6629.

MAC took on the Olympic Club in singles. The top match between Lou Barberini and MAC’s Craig Trull was a thriller. Trull lost the tiebreaker and Olympic Club members started to strut their stuff, but the MAC team prevailed, winning eight matches and losing only four matches. Friday night the cocktail and dinner party was a real celebration for all players, as the Italian roasted chicken with grilled vegetables and pasta was a tasty success. Private Dining did an outstanding job. Saturday morning competitive play resumed in the doubles format and the teams tied with three wins for each club. Be sure and mark your calendar for the next exchange in San Francisco against the Olympic Club, Friday, Oct. 7 and Saturday, Oct. 8. That particular weekend is popular in the Bay Area with fleet week and various conventions, so book a room now.
